Mark scheme for Sources of Law asks students to discuss absence of mens rea....now I may be wrong but I don't recollect mens rea being on the syllabus for this Unit or indeed the English Legal System... I believe that the OCR Board is asking far too much from 16-17 year olds...

Thanks for that clarification. I know mens rea can be found when teaching Presumptions but how many AS students can really cite these? So it's reassurring to know that more non-legal definitions will get credit.
